It is located on the bank of Bhagirathi river on the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is the seat of Lord Shiva. It is one of the twelve "Jyotirlingas" of Lord Shiva.
It is positioned at an elevation of 3584m near the origin of Mandakini river, in the Garwhal Himalayas of Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. The temple of Kedarnath is amongst the most venerated by Hindu pilgrims.
Badrinath is the last pilgrimage destination of Char Dham Yatra. Badrinath dham is situated in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. the temple of Shri Badrinathji on the banks of Alaknanda river, is flanked by two mountain ranges known as Nar and Narayan, with the towering Neelkanth peak providing a splendid backdrop. Shri Badrinath ji is the earthly abode of Lord Vishnu.
